Pier Fishing Report

The water was green, the water temperature was 68 degrees. The wind was blowing steady 15 and we caught very few fish. I had 8 kids and together, they landed about 6 Pigfish and that was it. There were loads of other anglers all having the same luck. Of course, the day before and after had nice runs of Bluefish, Sea mullet, and the Spanish Mackerel showed up on Sunday.
We did get a great look at a Green Sea turtle and lots of dolphins. We ate breakfast biscuits from Grit's Grill and had a grand time in spite of the poor bite. The kids all learned good pier fishing etiquette (not one tangle due to them) and got to see what really is a different culture of fishing - the pin riggers at the T. It was a cool experience for them. Thanks to all of you who support taking kids fishing.
