Hey Dude. I'm not familiar with Sea Side Heights at all. If you'll be staying near Toms River, Brigantine and LBI would be closer for fishing, and I happen to be more familiar with both places.
Right now there catching King Fish, Blues and some Striper are around.
LBI- Go to Fishermans Headquarters. On the right as soon as you get on the island. I fish the Inlet- to the north end and Center Street, southern end of the island. Both are close, short walks to the water.
Brigantine-- go to Rip Tide. Ask for Capt. Andy-he'll hook you up with everything you'll need, gear, bait and where. Riptide has a web site and forum you can check out. riptide.com should get you there.
Another local forum is bassbarn.
I'll be on Brigantine Sunday morning with my son, north end by the flag pole if you want to hook up. I'll get there around 5:30am.
Enjoy your trip and good luck with the fish. Watch out for us Jersey drivers--we actualy never realy learned how, we just wing it. :)
