You know I did! I wish I would have had a snag rig tied on when the first school came through , but I did fine with the Gotcha. I actually hooked a cobia or a nurse shark one evening , but didn't get a good look at it , and of course it was on the smallest rod I had , on a Gotcha no less. I didn't mention that one , since I knew you guys would give me a hard time about the one that got away...

The False Albacore are a ton of fun on metal. Biggest I caught was 13 pounds , hooked one that felt like 20 , but I doubt it was that big. Chasing tiny bait , and hitting small Gotchas , if you can keep the bottom fishermen from dropping a pyramid sinker in the middle of busting fish.

I'd wager anytime you could find a day with light to moderate E winds would work out good for fishing , or even just light SW , as long as it clears up out around the end of the piers.
