Five Dollar Fishing Trip

Hi Guys,

I wonder if you might consider helping out a local school.

My name is Lenny Leta and I live in Wanchese. I moved here from Virginia 6 years ago and currently teach high school science at Columbia High School. I run a Fishing/Nature tour charter in the sounds around Roanoke Island in the summer. Is has become quite successful and my anglers enjoy their fair share of catching fish.

At school I sponsor a fishing club called the "Wildcat Anglers" . I teach the kids all kinds of salt and fresh water techniques, as well as fish biology, conservation, and sportsmanship. This is our second year and the kids love it.

We recently had a casting contest behind the auditorium where they got to compete for prizes while practicing. Last year we went on a pier fishing trip at the Outer Banks Pier and although very cold, we had a blast catching skates, dogfish, and little lings. I also took some kids out during the summer and caught a bunch of trout, sheepshead, drum, and lots of other assorted species. We have several outings set up for this spring and summer and this takes money.

The club is doing a fund raiser and we wonder if you might help out? The club is selling tickets for 5.00 each and the winner will get a four hour sound fishing trip with me, all expenses paid. I will donate the trip and the club will go fishing with the proceeds. We will only sell 200 tickets and there will only be one winner. Our school principal will pick the winner during lunch on April 30th. The winner does not have to be present and will be notified by phone. People can send a check or use PayPal and I will email them a ticket stub. If you you think you can help promote our sale, that would be great. Thank you either way.
