I knew about the onion trick and got it to work one time, got 4 little ones from one bottom. I think you have to cut the bottom off high. I like those spring onion seeds aka bunching onions that come in a packet, I like cutting up and using the bottom of the green tops on them. It's not real oniony.

I hadn't tried growing horseradish before, I was thinking about it. I love that Kraft Horseradish Sauce in a plastic squirt bottle on everything.

Seem to have got a new mocking bird in the yard, they can mimic other bird calls and I think this one is trying to mimic the sirens from the bypass. The bird does a long one that's almost identical to a fast beeping local police car siren.
