Your sentiments are much appreciated.
This Capt grew up in a tavern, did college, law school, and military and was quite the expert on alcohol...since has pretty much been off the sauce. Caffine-free Pepsi = drink of choice these days. Be glad to meet up tho, fishin or breakin bread, to xchange lies:):)
Grin for you. Sunday attended wine tasting. Had to rate on taste and cost. Bottle this Capt picked as worst in taste and not worth much was voted the best, and at $70 a bottle!
You left HI just before the temp Bonner close. Family always concerned re: access. Tree huggers holding new bridge hostage so long making HI in/out more and more of a crap shoot as time goes on.
Mrs. Capt in Holiday mode. Baking now, major shoping tomorrow, parties over weekend and family Christmas here. So...at this point nothin on Honey-do list. Will probably do some paintin after New years. Lately, been busy doing electrical and plumbing work for neighbors, to save em $$. Gift to them.
Lost a friend and neighbor last month and others here in the OP community not in good health, incl. best friend who is deteriorating daily. Has numbed the holidays.
But, family most important. Kids, spouses and grandchildren are best anyone could ever expect. Christmas for them together, is topped only by the annual HI trip (33rd in a row this coming year).
Hope your holidays are safe, w/ family and friends and that somehow we all can have a good New Year.
(And for any others readin this post, please remember [know its hard] that this Board is not the place for politics. Enuf to say those that post here regularly are all of the same mindset.)
