I'm no professional by far, but I like to find where the the beach has gravel washed up. I go by the old timers giving advice and it seems to work. Sometimes you can see a sand bar out from the beach and I fish all the sides of it I can get to. Hey! I have a good time.
There's a blog that helps out on a lot of questions I go to, "Something's fishy" blog. That's not the only one, but a good one. Lots of stuff archived there.
